The Blue Jays have traded catcher Mike Napoli to the Rangers for reliever Frank Francisco and cash considerations.
Toronto acquired Napoli from the Angels in the Vernon Wells trade last Friday.
Texas plans on using him as a power bat off the bench and someone who can play first base, catcher or designated hitter when needed.
Francisco was 6-4 with a 3.76 ERA and two saves in 56 appearances for the Rangers in 2010.

Tigers Deal Galarraga To D-Backs
The Diamondbacks have acquired right-handed starter Armando Galarraga from the Tigers for pitching prospects Kevin Eichhorn and Ryan Robowski.
Galarraga, who came within one out of a perfect game last season, was 4-9 with a 4.49 ERA in 25 appearances in 2010.
Last week, Detroit designated Galarraga for assignment shortly after agreeing with him on a $2.3 million, one-year contract that avoided salary arbitration.
Cubs Trade Gorzelanny To Nationals
The Cubs have traded left-handed pitcher Tom Gorzelanny to the Nationals for three minor-league prospects, according to two major league sources.
The trade will become official when Gorzelanny takes a physical on Tuesday.
Chicago is expected to get two pitchers and an outfielder.
Rangers Trade Moscoso To Athletics For Kelly
The Rangers have agreed to send Guillermo Moscoso to the Athletics for Ryan Kelly.
Kelly was 2-3 with a 4.20 ERA in 38 appearances for the Class A Burlington club in the Oakland organization last year.
Pirates Trade Joe Martinez To Indians
The Pirates have traded pitcher Joe Martinez to the Indians in exchange for a player to named, or cash considerations.
Martinez, who was designated for assignment on December 21, posted a 3.12 ERA in five relief appearances with the Pirates in 2010 after being acquired from the Giants, along with outfielder John Bowker, in exchange for LHP Javier Lopez on July 31.
